Colin Hendry
Blackburn Rovers- He commenced his career playing for Manchester City, a key defender in their starting line up. Hendry was a great defender famous for his tough tackling and his skill in the air. He was the heart of the Blackburn team once he joined the club. He played a big part in helping his club win the premiership with some great displays at the back. He then went on to appear for Glasgow Rangers, Coventry, Bolton, Preston and Blackpool.
Andy Hinchcliffe
Hinchcliffe commenced his career at Manchester City and soon transferred to play for Everton in 1991. At Everton he became an immediate success being well known for his dead ball accuracy and his strong curling free kicks. He helped Everton win the 1995 FA cup final and his fine displays in the Everton shirt earned him seven appearances representing England. He later on played in Sheffield to star for Sheffield Wednesday.
Niall Quinn
Quinn’s career really set off while he was starring for Arsenal during the 1986-87 season, becoming a permanent fixture in the starting line up. He was one of their star players during their league cup victory of 1987. During his time at Arsenal he scored a decent 20 goals in 94 matches and then went on to sign for Manchester City for £800,000 in March 1990. His goal scoring rate during his first full season was outstanding, 22 goals during the 1990-91 campaign earned him recognition as one of the most prolific goal scorers in Europe. Quinn spent six seasons playing for City before moving to Sunderland. His partnership with Kevin Phillips up front at Sunderland was one of the tastiest in the premiership. He retired from plying for football in 2003, becoming a pundit and now he is currently chairman at Sunderland football club.
Gary Flitcroft
Flitcroft started his career playing for Manchester City and soon became a favourite with the supporters. During his six year tenure at the club, he was installed captain mid way through and went on to appear a total of 142 matches. His outstanding displays earned him a lucrative move to Blackburn Rovers in March 1996, for a staggering £3.5 million, joining the likes of Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton. He soon became captain of Blackburn and went on to play for the club in nine seasons, making a total of over 250 appearances. After ten years playing for Blackburn he moved to Sheffield to play for Sheffield United.
