Paul Lake

Paul Lake is without doubt one of the greatest talents ever produced by the sky Blues; however his playing career was cut short due to injury. He made his debut in a league match against Wimbledon in January 1987 at the age of 18 years old. He soon became a permanent fixture in the starting line up and was outstanding for the club, being able to play in a variety of positions. His consistency earned him many appearances for the England under 21 team, however towards the start of the 1990-91 season, an injury kept him out of the game for two years. Injury once again struck shortly after and Lake decided to retire from playing at the start of the 1996-97 season.

Andy Dibble

Dibble started out his career playing for Cardiff City in 1982, after two splendid seasons with the Welsh club he moved on to play for Luton Town in 1984, in total making 30 appearances for the club. His most memorable moment for Luton was saving the penalty in the 1988 league cup final against Arsenal. Dibble soon moved to Manchester city at the start of the 1988-89 season and was instantly outstanding in goal. His appearances were limited later on in his time at the club due to injuries and the rising form of Tony Coton in goal. In 1998 he moved to on to play for Hartlepool, Stockport County, Wrexham and Accrington Stanley.
