David White
White began his career for Manchester City in1986 and was an instant success at the club. White came into the prominence during the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons as his strike rate up font was outstanding and he really gelled well with his striking partner, Niall Quinn. His outstanding displays earned him a move to Leeds united in December 1993 for 2,000,000. During his long spell at Maine Road, he made a total of 343 appearances for the club during his seven and half years. After two disappointing seasons playing for Leeds United he moved on to play for Sheffield United in November 1995. After picking up an injury in a league cup tie against Wrexham, White decided to retire from playing professional football. |
