Joe Royle

Royle commenced his professional playing career at Goodison Park, making his first appearance at the young age of 16 years. During his tenure starring for the Blues, he was their leading goal scorer for five consecutive seasons. He appeared for Everton on 270 occasions, in total scoring a whopping 119 goals for the club. He switched club to join Manchester City in 1974 and went on to win the league cup in 1976. He later on terminated his playing career with Bristol City and Norwich prior going into management.

 

Eve Daley

Daley may not have been the biggest success at the club during his 20 month period there; however he sure made an impact in Manchester. Daley started his career playing for Wolves in 1971. He was a key member of the Forest team through out the 1970’s; most notably he scored 13 goals during the 1976-77 season. After his consistency of brilliance in a Forest shirt, Daley signed for Manchester City in September 1979, for a British record fee of £1437,500. His twenty month spell at City produced little in return and he then went on to play for American club, Seattle Sounders before moving back to England, this time playing for Burnley.
