Rodney Marsh

Marsh possessed various skills, perfect balance, tight control and a powerful shot. He commenced his career as a forward at Fulham and his eighteen goals in his first season saved the Cottagers from relegation. Marsh chose a big stage to announce his arrival onto the international scene. Third division outfit QPR shocked everyone by reaching the 1967 league cup final; however no one assumed them a chance once up against the talent of West Bromwich Albion. Rodney Marsh netted a goal in the final which helped QPR win the league cup and his thirty goals that year helped his club into the second division as his team finished at the head of the division. Marsh went onto play 211 times for QPR scoring a total of 106 goals. In 1972, he transferred to Manchester City playing for the Sky Blues 118 times and scoring 36 goals in the process.

Denis Law

Denis Law had a hunger for the huge match atmosphere. He was a goal scorer who could snap up a half chance from any position in the field. His razor sharp reflexes and electrifying speed went hand in hand with his bravery and a snaring determination to give as good as he got against the strongest of defenders in the world. Law was never honored the world wide acclaim that his skill deserved. During his eleven year spell playing for Manchester United, he netted in a total of 171 goals in 309 appearances. He retired from playing at the end of 1974 after a period playing for Manchester City.
